I create videos that can help you boost your business.

I love my work and I aim to keep my clients happy. I focus on precision and quality. It is important for me to understand the client’s needs and to find the best solution together. I focus on video editing and additional post-production and post-processing work.

I have experience with various types of videos:

  • Reports, documentaries and promo videos from events — corporate events, conferences, trainings, teambuilding, openings, exhibitions, competitions, performances and other social, cultural and sporting events
  • Promotional and product videos — introducing a service or product through the use of a short video for the web and social networks, adding footage from photo and video banks, spoken word, animated graphics, etc.
  • Educational videos and e-learning — recording lectures, trainings and courses on one or more cameras, editing and adding graphics or presentations
  • Video portraits, vlogs and interviews

Over the years, I have completed a number of training courses in video production and editing, including audiovisual production (accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, 2015), filmmaking, and sound for camera operators. I also have a university degree and a PhD in biology from Charles University in Prague (2001–2014).

As an independent cameraman and filmmaker, I have worked with many renowned clients, such as ČEZ, the Czech National Heritage Institute and the National Museum of Agriculture, Meteopress, Praha TV, and Sothys Paris.

My story

I have always had two big passions. Nature is one of them. Its beauty has always inspired me and taught me mindfulness. My father introduced me to the world of technology. From electronics and aircraft modeling I gradually got into photography and making videos. I have always been interested in finding new ways of expressing myself creatively.

During my biology and ecology studies, I traveled a lot. I enjoyed presenting my experience, photos and videos on travel slideshow events. Over time, I began to focus more and more on video production. In 2015, I completed a 6 months long Course on Audiovisual Production which started my video production career.

As a member of a start-up project Click and Study, I was in charge of a studio production for about two years. I interned as a Camera Operator for Praha TV during the Audiovisual Production Course. I was shooting a video blog Margit.TV for Margit Slimakova for about a year. I spent two years in Meteopress where I worked as a studio technician in charge of the whole process of weather forecast production. During that time I was also active in the production of videos from various conferences and cultural events, I made educational videos and interviews in a green screen studio. I made product videos for Smart solutions for households for the ČEZ Group.

I have been producing videos for the Czech National Museum of Agriculture since 2019. In autumn 2019, I shot 67 interviews in two days at the “Kolem Světa” Travellers Festival. My biggest project in 2020 was a series of promotional videos for the Czech National Heritage Institute. I also started working as a cameraman for live stream productions.

Since autumn 2020, I have been travelling with my family so my main focus has shifted to video editing and post-production. I am in charge of the post-production of a series of online courses for accountants and I also edit videos from live seminars for Naomi Aldort (US), the author of Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves.

My family — my beloved wife and our two wonderful children — are a great source of inspiration for me. We love spending time outdoors, picking wild plants, backpacking and cycling. I am grateful that I am able to do meaningful work that I enjoy doing and a happy family I can spend time with.

Firsthand recommendations

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Martin on two educational courses and can whole-heartedly vouch for his professionalism and the quality of his work. He really cares that you get the result you want and will go the extra mile. Unassuming and precise, Martin works calmly and quietly, keeping everyone cool… even when everything else seems to be falling apart! He’s exactly the sort of person you want on set.

Abigail Rice actress, voice artist

You'll never find a man as helpful and kind as Martin. From the very first meeting I intuitively knew that this guy could be relied on and this has been the case throughout our cooperation. His positive mood and energy is transferred to the people who work with him - and let's face it, that's a rare gift that would be a shame not to use. When I find out I'm filming with Martin - I'm no longer going for work, but for fun.

Alexandr Hemala television presenter and broadcaster

Martin and I have shot several videos for my project and as trailers for the magazine where my articles are published. I really appreciate his professionalism, reliability, helpfulness and simply pleasant human approach. I am always satisfied with the results of his work and I know that we have not filmed together for the last time.
