Lowering standards

Working hard all the time is a virtue, right? Well, it depends. Venkatesh Rao argues that if you are under strain and great pressure, lowering your standards for a while to buy time and restore your energy may be the smartest thing to do.

On the other hand, Benek Lisefski suggests that lowering the overall quality is not an option as it may easily damage your reputation and clients. However, there may always be other areas where lowering standards is quite OK.
