Remote workers (many of them freelance) flock to Spain’s Canary Islands, and “It’s a dream come true”, El País reports.
The trend started early in 2020, with Gran Canaria currently leading the pack: “Up until last year, between 5% and 10% of renters were remote workers. Since October, that number is 90%,” says one property manager based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
