I provide professional German-Czech and Czech-German translation and interpretation services for companies, institutions, and individuals:

German-Czech and Czech-German translations — Besides any general topics, I specialize in business texts, communication and contracts, technology, automotive, varnishing and other niche industries, as well as culture, literature, history, and traveling. I also translate digital media such as websites, product descriptions or apps. (I use Star Transit and SDL Trados Studio.)
Proofreading and text editing — If you need to polish an existing translation or go over your own Czech or German text, I am ready to help you as a competent editor and proofreader. I can also collaborate with other professional proofreaders and native speakers to double-check demanding translations and important texts.
German-Czech and Czech-German interpretation — I am well-experienced in consecutive, simultaneous (real-time), as well as whispered interpreting (chuchotage). I interpret business meetings, video calls, conferences, official and cultural events, and business trips abroad, including those on short notice.

I have a university degree in language studies, certificates from a number of specialized courses, and extensive professional experience (see below). I have been working with many established companies, interpreting for the Transkunst conference at the Universität Wien, etc. I’m a native Czech speaker, but I have considered German to be my second language ever since I spent two years in Germany as a kid.

Most translations are priced at 14 to 25 euro per standard page of text, excluding priority surcharge and proofreading, if needed. Interpretation services are priced at around 18 euro per hour for video calls and 35 to 70 euro per hour for in-person interpretation, plus any extra costs.
